Birthplace: Rural Coin, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Zeta E. Alexander, age 100, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Zeta Estella Alexander was born November 11, 1909 near Coin, Iowa the daughter of Clarence Otis and Minnie Olive (Gibson) Clayton. She lived in Southwest Iowa all of her life as a housewife and mother. She accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into her life at the age of 13. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and had a special green thumb for gardening. She was united in marriage to Charles Orel Williams on February 14, 1933 and they resided in Clarinda, Iowa. They were the parents of two sons: Ronald Lee Williams and Charles Clayton Williams. Zeta was later united in marriage to Roy Wraymond Alexander on December 21, 1953 and they resided in Elliott, Iowa. They had a son: Leroy Wray Alexander. On April 7, 1994, she was united in marriage to Luin Henry Jipsen and they resided in Red Oak, Iowa. Zeta was a resident of Red Oak Rehab and Care Center at the time of her death. Preceding her in death were her parents: Clarence and Olive Clayton; brother: Donovan Clayton; brother: Leslie Clayton and his wife Fern; an infant brother and sister; and her husbands: Orel Williams, Roy Alexander, and Luin Jipsen. Surviors include her children: Ronald Williams of Clarinda, Iowa; Charles Williams and wife Norma of Stilwell, Kansas; and Leroy Alexander and wife Jerri of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandchildren: Betty Ruckman (Carl), Brian Williams (Jennifer), Keith Williams (Cheryl) all of the Kansas City area; Shad Alexander of Elliott, Iowa; Heath Alexander (Angie) of Clarinda, Iowa; Kristina Guilfoyle of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Laura McElroy of Rogers, Arkansas; and Megan Lewis of Bentonville, Arkansas; great grandchildren: Brittney, Max, Anna, Charlie, Natalie, Henry, Isabella, and Seven all of the Kansas City area; Chelsea, McKenzie, Jordan, and Alivia of Clarinda, Iowa; Ashley, Mitch, Molly, Isaiah, Danny, and Jeremiah all of Arkansas; niece: Phyllis Clayton; and nephew: Jerry Clayton and their families; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Craig Larsen officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery at Elliott, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Senior Citizens Activity Fund. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
