Birthplace: Rural Elliott, Iowa Resided In: Elliott, Iowa William Lee "Bill" Weston, age 84, of Elliott, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Bill was born January 7, 1929 in Waveland Township of Pottawattamie County, Iowa the son of Roy and Geneva (Miller)Weston. He was raised on the farm and graduated from Elliott High School in 1946. He was united in marriage to Doris Petty on July 2, 1949 in Red Oak, Iowa. They lived near Elliott where Bill farmed and worked in sales with farm equipment all of his life. Doris preceded him in death in 1987. He married Janet Milner on July 8, 1995 in Elliott and they made their home in Elliott. Bill was a member of the Elliott Church of Christ and in his younger days was a member of the NFO. He also enjoyed square dancing and playing cards. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife: Doris Weston on July 16, 1987; step-father: Lee Silk and half brother: Gary Silk. Survivors include his wife: Janet Weston of Griswold, IA; son: Roy Weston and wife Lona of Elliott; daughter: Sue Weston and husband Don Walztoni of River Falls, WI; grandchildren: Taryn Maguire and husband Steven of Carson, IA; Katie Eilts and husband Craig of Griswold, IA; and Kari Adelmann and husband Brent of Dundas, MN; great grandchildren: Dixie Adelmann, Jaxon Eilts, Keaton Maguire, and Briana Adelmann; step-children: Vicki Hansen of Kansas City, MO; Brent Milner and wife Diane of Griswold, IA; and Joel Milner and wife Melanie of Council Bluffs, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Elliott, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. A memorial fund is being established in Bill's name. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel, Red Oak, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
