Birthplace: Hard Scratch, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Wilda Lois Hall, age 74, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Wilda was born June 11, 1940 in Logan, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Dorothy Altoff. She was united in marriage to Merlin Hall on March 6, 1958 in Ralston, Nebraska. They made their home in Lake Manawa, Iowa for several years and then Merlin traveled in the construction business to many different place and his family went with him. Over the years, Wilda worked as a cook for Ponderosa Truck Stop, Dave's Cafe in Pacific Junction, Reynolds Diner and 76 Truck Stop in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She later worked at Blue Star Foods and Excel packing house. Merlin and Wilda moved to Red Oak, Iowa 14 years ago to be near their daughter. She was a member of the Hope For Life Christian Church where she participated in the choir. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, and was known to be an excellent cook. In her younger days she loved to dance. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister: Connie Kramer. Survivors include her husband: Merlin Hall of Red Oak; children: Ed Hall of Omaha, NE; Ray Hall and wife Becky of Defiance, IA; Rick Hall and wife Stacie of Red Oak; Rod Hall and wife Carol of Malvern, IA; and Myleea Hall and husband Dan Edie of Red Oak; grandchildren: Cindy, Jamie, Rusty, Kristin, Craig, Rhyian, Chelsee, Samantha, Alexander, Marhya, Courtney, Skylar, and Storm; great grandchidlren: Chloe, Seth, Zane, Skyyla, Mykaela, Chloe, Nathaniel, Kyliegh, Alexander, and Braxton; sister: Elaine Tyler and husband Kenny of Omaha, NE and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Hope For Life Christian Church with Pastor Ted H. Welch, Sr. officiating. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
