Wendell Hughes Kelley, age 88, of Hastings, Iowa, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at the Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Wendell was born February 21, 1934 in Mills County, Iowa, the son of Parle R. and Grace (Hughes) Kelley. He graduated from Elliott High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. Wendell was united in marriage to Dorothy Gammell on April 17, 1960 in Elliott, Iowa. He farmed all of his life on the family farm near Hastings, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Paul Dean Kelley at birth, and daughter, Cynthia Lea Kelley in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; son, Richard Kelley; brother, Richard Kelley and wife Kathy; sister, Phyllis Kinney; sister-in-law, Ruth Cates; and many other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held at Pleasant Township Cemetery near Griswold, Iowa.
