Wanda Irene Woods, age 82, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak. Wanda was born April 7, 1941, in Diagonal, Iowa, the daughter of Harold Cletus and Eva Marie (Jennings) Wood. She was raised in the Blockton area and lived in Villisca and Stanton before moving to Red Oak in 1980. She was an LPN for many years working for Montgomery County Memorial Hospital and had a long career with Good Samaritan Society. She was a member of the Red Oak Eagles Lodge and loved visiting with friends and was an avid reader. She was united in marriage to Billie Dean Woods and two children were born to this union: Mark and Clinton. She later married Charlie Shetterly.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands: Billie Dean and Charlie; sister: Della Johnson and brother: Lee Don Woods. Survivors include her sons: Mark Woods of Red Oak, Iowa and Clinton Woods and wife Cindy Gillaspie of Iowa City, Iowa; grandchildren: Eva Coughlin and husband Andy of Elliott. Iowa; Conor Woods of Iowa City, Iowa; and Aidan Woods of Iowa City, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
