Birthplace: Hamburg, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Funeral services for 83 year old Wade Rubey of Red Oak, Iowa will be held 10:30 AM Monday, February 20, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church with Kieffer Lehman officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery with Military Rites Conducted by the Iowa Army National Guard and members of the Montgomery County Memorial Court of Honor. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Stratton United Methodist Church and the Stratton United Methodist Church Sunday School. Mr. Rubey passed away Monday, February 13, 2006 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Survivors include his wife: Margy Rubey of Red Oak, Iowa; two sons: Clint Rubey and wife Julie of Red Oak, Iowa; and Ron Rubey and friend Andreas Jaeggi of Basel, Switzerland; granddaughters: Lisa Stocksleger and husband Scott of Des Moines, Iowa; Kim Bond and husband Damien of Malvern, Iowa; and Kate Honeyman of Lincoln, Nebraska; great grandchildren: Wade and Ben Stocksleger of Des Moines, Iowa; and Dawson Bond of Malvern, Iowa; sister: Fern Richards of Hillsboro, Oregon; sisters-in-law: Barbara Richards of Emerson, Iowa and Helen Richards of Sidney, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
