Birthplace: St. Catherine, Missouri Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Vivian N. Schillinger, age 81, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa. Vivian Nadine Schillinger was born September 4, 1925 in St. Catherine, Missouri the daughter of Floy and Gladys (Stone) Nickerson. She was raised in the Bucklin area and graduated from high school there. Vivian was united in marriage to Richard Schillinger on September 28, 1945 at her family home near Bucklin, Missouri. After their marriage they lived in California and Colorado before moving back to Bucklin where they started working for Nachurs Plant Food Company. They moved with the company to Ohio and later to Red Oak, Iowa where they opened Nachurs Plant Food Company in 1971. Vivian worked for Nachurs for 29 years. During this time she and Richard also started Books Etc. and operated that business from 1978 until 1985. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Richard Schillinger on February 9, 1986; her son David Schillinger on February 18, 1987; and her brother: Raymond Nickerson. Survivors include her daughter: Ann Jenkins and husband Scott of Red Oak, Iowa; grandchildren: Trevor Jenkins and wife Angela of Palo, Iowa; and Brooke James and husband Jeff of Stanton, Iowa; two brothers: Russell Nickerson and wife Nelda of Marceline, Missouri; and Harold Nickerson and wife Jean of St. Charles, Missouri; sister-in-law: Leota Nickerson of Brookfield, Missouri; brother in-law: Robert Schillinger and wife Charlotte of Jackson, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews; and her great aunt: Francis Shasteen of La Junta, Colorado who is 100 years old. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bucklin, Missouri. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements in Red Oak, Iowa. Renshaw Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement in Bucklin, Missouri.
