Birthplace: Shenandoah, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Vickie Sue Walters, age 73, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Vickie was born March 2, 1948, in Shenandoah, Iowa, the daughter of Tully and Mable (Cummings) Mutchler. While in high school, Vickie worked at the A & W. She graduated in 1967 from Shenandoah High School and over the years worked as a CNA at Elm Heights Nursing Home and Garden View Care Center. She moved to Red Oak in 1996 and worked many years at Good Samaritan Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and playing dice. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter: Carrie Linfor; granddaughter: Jody Whitehill; and sister: Linda Geer. Survivors include her children: Richard Linfor and wife Cathy of Red Oak, IA; Mary Linfor of Red Oak, IA; Sarah West of Red Oak, IA; Willy Linfor of Omaha, NE; and Melissa Hummel and husband Allan of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Dustin, Jessica, Austin, Nathan, Destiny, Sadie, Angel, Ethan, Nina, and Dakota; great grandchildren: Jasper, Brayden, and Maycee; brother: Tom Mutchler of Shenandoah, IA; and other relatives and many friends. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-3 PM Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
