Travis Rey Harris, age 49, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Travis was born June 14, 1975 in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of Bryon "Bo" and Sue (Lewis) Harris. Travis grew up in Red Oak. He graduated from Red Oak High School in 1993. He continued his education at Southwestern Community College where he earned his associate degree in Journalism in 1995. Travis loved listening to music and enjoyed writing poems and stories.

Travis will be greatly missed on this earth, but we are sure Jeff and Travis are head banging to "KISS" together once again. When the time is right we will join them and tell them "turn that sh.. down!"

Travis is preceded in death by his brother: Jeff in 2007. Survivors include his parents: Bo and Sue Harris of Red Oak, Iowa; niece: Cydney Harris; nephews: Phoenix and Collin Harris all of Texas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Red Oak Elks Lodge. A private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
