Birthplace: Rogers, AR Resided In: Edgewater, FL formerly Henderson, IA Thurman Love Bowen, age 89 formerly of Henderson, Iowa passed away October 21, 2015 at his home in Edgewater, Florida. Thurman was born November 26, 1925 in Rogers, Arkansas the son of David Isaac and Clara Bell (Davis) Bowen. He was the last of seven children, all boys, and the last of his generation. Thurman was a retired salesman for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Preceding him in death were his parents, siblings, and daughter: Julie Bowen. Survivors include his sons: Darrell Bowen and wife Deanna of Ft. Orange, FL; Dennis Bowen and wife Marsha of Eau Claire, WI; and Ronald Bowen and wife Rosemary of The Villages, FL; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; as well as many local relatives including: Floyd and Loyd Bowen, Wanda Williams, Velda Myers, Nancy and Ken Van Pelt and all their families. Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Farm Creek Cemetery at Henderson, Iowa. A luncheon will follow at the Henderson Community Building. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
