Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Thomas Ephrain "Tom" Griffeth, age 59, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Tom was born March 2, 1957 in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of James and Mary (Foreman) Griffeth. He was raised in Red Oak, Iowa where he graduated from Red Oak Community High School. Tom lived most of his life in Red Oak except for a short time when he lived out West. He was united in marriage to Beth Sands on May 1, 1992 in Red Oak. He worked several different places over the years including Red Coach Inn as a cook, the City of Red Oak, Red Oak Die Cast until it closed, and most recently Minsa Corporation. Tom enjoyed watching NASCAR, gardening, his two dogs, and spending time with his grandkids. Preceding him in death were his parents; niece: Ashley Fekete; and father-in-law: Larry Sands. Survivors include his wife: Beth Griffeth of Red Oak; children: Crystal Hoose of Malvern, IA; Chelsea Griffeth of Red Oak; and Dylan Griffeth of Red Oak; grandchildren: Naturalle Hoose and Dresdain Hoose of Malvern, IA; sister: Laurie Fekete and husband Erwin of Mt. Ayr, IA; mother-in-law: Vicki Jobe and husband Lee of Red Oak; sisters-in-law: Becky Sands, Cathy Bush and husband Richard, Jody Sands, and Dawn Dozier and husband Richie all of Red Oak; nephews: Brandy Fekete of Mt. Ayr, IA and Dakota Bush of Red Oak; niece: Kya Torres of Red Oak; aunt: Norma Tichy of Red Oak; uncle: Ron Foreman of Clarksville, AR; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 10 AM Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
