Terry Lee Minard, Sr., age 78, of Elliott, Iowa, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Terry was born June 2, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Charles Berlin and Claudia (Kier) Minard. He was raised in Omaha graduating from North High School in 1963. He was united in marriage to Madeline "Corky" Miller on September 18, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska. They made their home in Omaha. Terry served in the Navy Reserves while in high school and was discharged in 1968. Terry did many jobs throughout his life and was a truck driver for many of those years. Most recently he worked as the maintenance man for Red Oak Rehab and Care Center retiring in 2005. Terry loved listening to Rock-n-Roll music and working on and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Preceding him in death were his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Helen Miller and Clarence Miller; son: Brian Minard in 1978; brothers: Ted Minard and wife Claudia; Charles Minard; and Larry Minard. Survivors include his wife: Corky Minard of Elliott, IA; children: Terry Lee Minard, Jr. of Omaha, NE; Bud Minard and significant other Jewel of Rogers, AR; and Bobbie Cottrell and husband Steven of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren: David Minard of Red Oak, IA; Emily Lamb and husband Zane of Red Oak, IA; Chris Minard and wife Melissa of Missouri; Cody Minard of Rogers, AR; Terry Minard III of Omaha, NE; Amber Patlan of Council Bluffs, IA; Allison Minard of Omaha, NE; Amanda Minard of Florida; and Anna Minard of Florida; great grandchildren: Ashlynn Minard, Noah Smirniotis, Payton, Minard, Zyler Lamb, Terrence Rayborn, Lola Lamb, Paizley Rayborn, Waylon Lamb, Brooke Minard, Garner Minard, Elliott Minard, Bryson Patlan, Brody Patlan, Luke Bird, Tera Bird, Graeson Minard, Jensen Minard, and Everleigh McCollum; sister: Rosalinda Miller and husband Rick of Omaha, NE; brothers-in-law: Clarence "Butch" Miller of Omaha, NE and Harold "Beanie" Miller and wife Diane of Omaha, NE; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the Shriner Children's Hospital.
