Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska Resided In: Tucson, Arizona Technical Sergeant, Dustin M. Jackson, age 36, of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Dustin Michael Jackson was born October 16, 1975 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Michael and Pam (English) Jackson. He grew up in Villisca and Red Oak, Iowa, graduating from the Red Oak High School with the class of 1994. Dustin was a Cadet Fire Fighter with the Red Oak Fire Department. He joined the United States Air Force on November 1, 2000. During his service, he completed basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. In 2001, he was stationed at Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, TX. He was stationed at Eglin AFB, Eglin, FL from 2001-2004. Dustin was stationed at Osan AB, Osan, Korea and Soto Cano AB, Honduras from 2004-2008. He served deployments in Saudi Arabia and most recently Operation New Dawn in Iraq. He received three Air Force Commendation Medals and two Air Force Achievement Medals. Currently Dustin was at home at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ. His various positions included Crew Chief, Training Non Commissioned Officer in Charge, and finally as the Special Projects Officer. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers: Lloyd Jackson and Allen English, and an uncle, Reed English. Survivors include his father: Mike Jackson of Villisca, Iowa; mother: Pam English Sandell of Red Oak, Iowa; sister: Darcy Dalton and husband Terry of Villisca, Iowa; grandparents: Bonnie Jackson of Coin, Iowa and Harlan and Marilyn Knoke of Villisca, Iowa; nieces: Delaney and Tierney Dalton; nephews: Dylan and Teagan Dalton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 2 PM Monday, February 20, 2012 at the First Covenant Church with Pastors Alan Dean and Darren Brisco officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Villisca, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Sunday, February19, 2012 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
