Birthplace: Globe, Arizona Resided In: Susan K. Hadden, age 41, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Susan Kaye Hadden was born May 13, 1963 in Globe, Arizona the daughter of Lowell and Jeanne (England) Rupp. The family moved to Missouri Valley, Iowa in 1967 and Red Oak in 1972. Susan graduated from the Red Oak Community High School in 1981. She then moved to Osage Beach, Missouri and was united in marriage to Mike Haskins. Three children were born to this union: Emily, Christopher, and Katie. In 1996 Susan moved back to Red Oak, Iowa. She worked as a nurse's aid at the Good Samaritan Care Center and most recently worked at the Super 8 Motel. Susan was united in marriage to Jim Hadden on July 17, 2004 in Red Oak, Iowa. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She also enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts, Native American History, gardening, reading, crafts, and sewing Barbie Doll Clothes. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father: Lowell Rupp, Jr. in 1995; and her special father: Lyle Varns on June 10, 2000. Survivors include her husband: Jim Hadden of Red Oak, Iowa; 3 children: Emily, Christopher, and Katie Haskins all of Osage Beach, Missouri; mother: Jeanne Varns of Red Oak, Iowa; 6 sisters: Jean Chandler and husband Kent of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Pam Hopkins and husband Robert of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Cindy Eggert and husband Bill of Red Oak, Iowa; Bev Hamman and husband Ken of Red Oak, Iowa; Debbie Seifert and husband Ron of Griswold, Iowa; and Donna Lynam and special friend Gary Newman of Red Oak, Iowa; many aunts and uncles including Ralph and Ida Mae England of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; many cousins including Terri Jo Rupp of Missouri Valley, Iowa; and Lloyd Rupp, Jr. of Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska; as well as many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at the First Christian Church with Rev. JoAnn Thomas officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Monday, August 9, 2004 at the First Christian Church. A memorial fund is being established in Susan Hadden's name. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
