Obituary

Birthplace: Shenandoah, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Steven Wayne Falk, age 71, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society. Steve was born July 19, 1944 in Shenandoah, Iowa the son of Wayne and Catherine (Harris) Falk. He was raised near Essex and graduated from Essex High School. he farmed and worked construction before serving in the United States Army. Steve was united in marriage to Patricia Deeming on March 13, 1970 in Belton, Texas. After Steve's time in the military they moved back to the southwest Iowa area where he farmed and did construction work. He retired after many years of working for D & L Company later known as ROMech. Steve enjoyed farming, horses, tractors, and playing cards, especially cribbage. He was a long time member of the Red Oak Elks Lodge. Preceding him in death were his parents and son: Christopher in 2006. Survivors include his wife: Pat Falk of Red Oak; children: Tracy Reynolds and husband Russ of Stanton, IA; Catherine Egle and husband Tim of Denver, CO; Steve Falk, Jr. and wife Chris of Essex, IA; Curtis Glasgo and wife Tammy of Elliott, IA; and Allen Glasgo of Red Oak; 7 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother: Joe Falk of Shenandoah, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 10 AM Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Nyman, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
