Birthplace: Council Bluffs, Iowa Resided In: Julian, Nebraska Skylar James Palmer, age 15, of Julian, Nebraska, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Skylar was born July 29, 2002 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Jeffrey and Janet (Bartles) Palmer. He lived the majority of his life in Julian, Nebraska and attended school in Auburn where he would have started the ninth grade. Skylar was a fun loving kid who had a great sense of humor and loved pulling pranks on his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, camping, bicycling, and animals. He always enjoyed technology and had to know how things worked. He spent many hours taking things apart and putting things back together. Skylar also enjoyed playing video games. Survivors include his parents: Jeff and Janet Palmer of Julian, NE; sister: Shayla Palmer of Julian, NE; grandparents: Eugene and Rosa Palmer of Red Oak, IA and Kay Bartles of Shenandoah, IA; great grandmother: Berniece Baucom of Stanton, IA; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Burial will be in the Emerson, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
