Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Shirley M. Lukehart, age 70, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Hospice With Heart Hospice House in Glenwood, Iowa. Shirley Marie Lukehart was born September 28, 1942 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Conley) Schmidt. Shirley was united in marriage to Robert Lukehart in Clarinda, Iowa in 1959 and later graduated from Red Oak High School. Shirley and Robert have been lifelong residents of Red Oak where Shirley worked as the head cook at the Rainbow Café for over 27 years. Shirley truly loved to cook, enjoyed playing the lottery, and loved her pepsi. Preceding her in death were her parents and an infant brother. Survivors include her husband: Robert Lukehart of Red Oak, IA; children: Rocky Lukehart and wife Tammy; Rodney Lukehart; Reggie Lukehart; Robby Lukehart; Casey Lukehart and wife Alyssa; Rusty Foreman; Rachel Lukehart and husband Dan; and Rainbow Miner and husband Jason all of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Zach Lukehart; Breanna Lukehart; Jeff Updike; Bruce Lukehart; Jessica Lukehart; Michaela Miner; and Mickenzie Miner; great grandchildren: Emily, Jade, Damon, Vivian, and Peyton; sisters-in-law: Viola Rinehart and Carolyn Foreman of Red Oak, IA; and Bonnie Gage and husband Dale of Emerson, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family of Shirley Lukehart. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
