Birthplace: Creston, Iowa Resided In: Griswold, Iowa Sherry Ilene England, age 70, of Griswold, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Sherry was born June 29, 1946 in Creston, Iowa the daughter of Arling and Jean (Wasmer) LaMaster. She was raised in Griswold and graduated from Griswold High School in 1964. She attended Commercial Extension in Omaha and started working at Northern Natural Gas. Sherry was united in marriage to Max England on December 10, 1966 in Atlantic, Iowa. Sherry was a homemaker for many years until her children graduated from high school. She then went back to work at the Oakland State Bank and later Rolling Hills Bank in Griswold where she retired in 2015. She was a member of the Griswold United Methodist Church, the Gab Club, volunteered for the Cass County Museum, and served on the American Cancer Society Festival of Trees for many years in Atlantic. She enjoyed cooking, going to auctions and flea markets where she bought cookbooks, traveling to Texas in the winter and Rush Lake, Minnesota in the summer, fishing, decorating for Christmas, listening to Elvis music, and driving her Buick. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Max England of Griswold, IA; son: Mike England of Griswold, IA; daughter: Sandy Shehan and husband Matt of Griswold, IA; sister: Michelle Teal and husband Dave of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law: Norma Liddell and husband Duane of Villisca, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 1 PM Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Griswold United Methodist Church. Burial of the cremated remains will take placed at a later date at the Hillside Cemetery in Elliott, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the Griswold Rescue Unit. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements
