Birthplace: Council Bluffs, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Shellie Lynn Smith Klimek, age 40, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Shellie was born December 10, 1974 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the daughter of Steven and Carolyn (Thomas) Smith. She was raised near Treynor, Iowa graduating from Treynor High School in 1993. She worked at Eye Masters in Council Bluffs until her marriage to Douglas Klimek on January 22, 2000 in Treynor, Iowa. They lived in Omaha and Treynor for a short time before they moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 2003. Shellie loved doing crafts, quilting, sewing, working cross word puzzles, and cooking. She was a very devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister who loved her family very much. Preceding her in death were her grandparents and her father, Steven Smith. Survivors include her husband: Douglas Klimek of Red Oak; children: Stephen, Holly, and Wyatt Klimek of Red Oak; step-son: Dalton Klimek of Omaha, NE; mother: Carolyn Smith of Council Bluffs, IA; brother: Brian Smith of Albany, MO; sister: Tonya Smith of Council Bluffs, IA; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Steven and Clara Klimek of Omaha, NE; sisters-in-law: Heather Klimek of Omaha, NE and Stephenie Hassler and husband Brian of Las Vegas, NV; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nleson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
