Birthplace: Chicago, IL Resided In: Malvern, Iowa formerly of Red Oak, Iowa Ruth Mikuls, age 59, of Malvern, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 9, 2001 at the Jennie Edmundson Hopsital in Council Bluffs, Iowa after a brief illness. Ruth Marie Mikuls was born March 31, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Peter and Minnie (Damm) Mikuls. Ruth graduated from the Proviso East High School in Chicago. Ruth moved to Southwest Iowa in 1974 living in the Red Oak area. Most recently Ruth has been living at the Manor of Malvern Care Center in Malvern, Iowa. Survivors include her 2 brothers: Richard Mikuls of Omaha, Nebraska; and Billie Smyth of Berkley, Illinois; good friend: Pat Williams of Omaha, Nebraska; 5 nephews: Greg, Steve, Ken, Chris, and Ted Mikuls; niece: Molly Mikuls; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, September 14, 2001 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Pilecki officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-8 PM Thursday, September 13, 2001 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the ASPIRE Home. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak is in charge of all arrangements.
