Birthplace: Henderson, Iowa Resided In: Emerson, Iowa Ruby "Darlene" Warren, age 99, of Emerson, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society of Red Oak, Iowa. Darlene was born October 10, 1920 in Henderson, Iowa the daughter of Forrest and Sylvia (Braden) Achenbaugh. She graduated from Wales Lincoln High School in 1937. Darlene was united in marriage to Marvin Arthur "Buck" Warren on February 14, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska. They farmed for many years before moving into Emerson in 1981. She was a longtime member of the Emerson United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Darlene enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, and horses. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Buck Warren; and brother: Darrell Achenbaugh. Survivors include her daughter: Sue Core and husband Jim of Adel, IA; son: Richard Warren and wife Diana of Mineral Wells, TX; 4 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
