Birthplace: Holstein, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Ronald Dean Wiese, 82, of Red Oak, Iowa, died June 22, 2015. Ron was born April 12, 1933, in Holstein, Iowa to Edward and Hertha (Rickert) Wiese. Ron was the oldest of three children. Ronald grew up in Schaller, Iowa and graduated from Schaller High School in 1951. He served three years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. After his service, he married Sharon Lee in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1957. In 1963, the family moved from Algona, Iowa to Red oak, Iowa where Ron worked as an assistant manager of the Gambles store. He also worked for Floyd Hamman Candy Route and retired from Eveready Battery Company. Ron enjoyed reading, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the American Legion in Red Oak. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Hertha (Rickert) Wiese; father, Edward Wiese and sister, Beverly Foell. Ron in survived by his wife, Sharon (Lee) Wiese; his sons, Steve Wiese of Shenandoah, Jim Wiese of Red Oak and Jeffrey Wiese and wife Sharon of Red Oak; grandsons, Scott Wiese of Red Oak, Brad Wiese of Red Oak, Brian Wiese of Omaha and Logan Wiese of Red Oak; granddaughters, Olivia Mann and Madelynn Mann, both of Orange Beach, Ala. and brother Roger Wiese of Denver, Colo. Memorial services will be held 11AM Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Pastor JD Kingery officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
