Birthplace: Waukon, Iowa Resided In: Gold River, California Graveside memorial services for Ronald Haas of Gold River, California will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 12, 2002, at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Ronald Francis Haas passed away April 14, 2002 in Gold River, California. Ronald Haas was born July 17, 1923, in Waukon, Iowa, the son of William and Emma (Miller) Haas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946, assigned to the 634th Ordinance Ammunition Company stationed in New Guinea and the Philippines. In 1950, Ron married Doris Ann Franson of Red Oak, Iowa and he graduated from the University of Iowa Pharmacy Program. Ronald had a 35 year career with Osco Drug. Ronald was a member of the Elks Lodge, the American Legion and the VFW all in Gold River, California. He was past president of the Carmichael Kiwanis and past president of the Kiwanis Family House. Ronald is survived by his wife Doris Ann (Fran) Haas of Gold River, California; daughter: Ann Davis and her husband Paul of Davis, California; grandchildren: Catherine and Andrew Davis of Davis, California; and one sister: Jeanne McCarthy of Caledonia, Minnesota. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak is in charge of arrangements.
