Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska Resided In: Rural Essex, Iowa Ronald M. Barnhouse, age 70, of Essex, Iowa, passed away, Monday, November 30, 2020, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Ronald was born July 16, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska where he was raised, the son of Doss and Vivian (Sharp) Barnhouse. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Ebel on June 7, 1969 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Ronald worked for the City of Omaha as a Maintenance Mechanic for 22 years. Ronald and Kathleen lived in Plattsmouth, Nebraska for 19 years before moving to Rural Essex, Iowa after Ronald retired 21 years ago. Ron was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and driving throughout the rural countryside checking out the wildlife. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Tom, Jim, Bill, and Pete Barnhouse; and sisters: Donna Lentz, Janet Anderson, and Bev Poorker. Survivors include his wife: Kathleen Barnhouse of Essex, IA; children: Candace Bisbee and husband Dale of Creston, IA and Joel Barnhouse and wife Jennifer of Labadie, MO; Grandchildren: Dallas Lindsey and wife Ashley; Courtney Jenkins and husband R.J.; Kaitlyn Anglen; Jessica Anglen; Jacob Barnhouse; Alexis Barnhouse; Gracie Barnhouse; and Michael Barnhouse; 4 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. There will be no services held at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
