Robin Strand, age 69, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at Jennie Edmondson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Robin Strand was born August 27, 1955, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Charlotte (Bomer) Strand. She was raised in Glenwood and Villisca. She graduated from Villisca High School in 1973 and Iowa Western Community College with an associate degree in business. She worked at Eveready Battery Plant until it closed, then CDS, and retired in 2007 from Direct TV. Robin was a member of the Red Oak Eagles. She enjoyed traveling, playing Bunko, reading, and listening to music. She loved animals, especially horses, and was a very kind and beautiful soul, who was always smiling. She was liked by everyone and will be missed by all. She keeps in touch with people who have been lifelong friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother: John; sister: Kathryn; and companion Kelvin Jones. Survivors include her sisters: Barb Wingerd of Hastings, Iowa; Joyce Howrey of Glenwood, Iowa; Jona Nelson and husband Randy of Villisca, Iowa; uncle; Stanley Bomer of Glenwood, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11AM Monday, June 16, 2025, at LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa.
