Robert Ernest McMartin, age 68, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Robert was born on September 18, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was raised in Des Moines and Hancock, Iowa, graduating from the Avoca-Hancock Community High School. Throughout the years, Robert farmed and worked in construction. He made Red Oak his home for the past 15 years. He loved being outdoors doing yard work and fishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Keith Ernest and Esther Faye McMartin. Survivors include his children: Angela Brown of North Platte, NE; Nick Petty of Atlantic, IA; Britteny McMartin of Red Oak, IA; and Codey Thramer of Council Bluffs, IA; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 5 siblings including his twin sister whom he shared his home: Robin Horning of Red Oak, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
