Birthplace: Montgomery County, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Robert William "Bob" Lee, age 92, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Bob was born March 23, 1929 in rural Montgomery County, Iowa, the son of Albert and Olive (Hill) Lee. He attended school in Villisca, Iowa and then started farming. He worked with his dad and several area farmers until going to drive a truck for Penwell Grain and later Baker Trucking of Elliott, Iowa. Robert was united in marriage to Anna Brown on June 27, 1948 in Villisca, Iowa. They lived in the Villisca area, Morton Mills, and Elliott, Iowa before moving to Red Oak, Iowa in 1959. Bob worked for Kaser Construction which became Consumer Limestone Products retiring in 1995. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church and was very strong in his faith, reading his Bible every day. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #162 AF & AM, serving as Worshipful Master in 1966 and becoming a member of Past Masters in 1967. Robert always enjoyed manicuring his lawn and was very meticulous. He was a very generous man and was very giving to charities. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He always made Anna his priority and where you saw one you saw the other. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife: Anna; son: Bobby Lee; grandson: Jerad Wagaman; and sisters: Betty Lindburg, Sara Delaney, and Mary Robinson. Survivors include his children: Larry Lee of Boone, IA; Marcia Benda and husband Mark of Red Oak, IA; and Patty Wagaman and husband Jim of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Meredith Baker and husband Don of Essex, IA; Shannon Lee of Boone, IA; Josh Lee and wife JoAnn of Ames, IA; Kaleb Wagaman of Bedford, IA; Kalli Wagaman of Red Oak, IA; and Kolton Wagaman and wife Jennie of Britt, IA; great grandchildren: Kelli, Elizabeth, Olivia, Slayde, Khloe, Konnor, Keegan, Jada, Jesenia, Henry, and Harrison; great great-grandchild: Luella; sister: Martha Walter of Stanton, IA; brothers: Everette Lee and wife Betty of Bedford, IA and Carl Lee and wife Sandra of Clarinda, IA; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Woodard and husband John of Knoxville, TN and Frances Petrucelli of New Jersey; brother-in-law: Jesse Delaney of Utah; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-6 PM Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
