Obituary

Birthplace: Villisca, Iowa Resided In: Oswego, Illinois Robert Eugene "Bobby" Lee, age 67, of Oswego, Illinois formerly of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Bobby was born January 16, 1949 in Villisca, Iowa the son of Robert and Anna (Brown) Lee. He graduated from Red Oak High School in 1968 and served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Upon his return from military service, Bobby worked at Union Carbide Battery Corp/Eveready Battery Company before traveling to Oklahoma and Texas with his horses. He then returned to Red Oak where he worked at Johnny's Steakhouse and also Delta Airlines in Omaha. Bobby's next move was motivated by his lifetime love of horses. He moved to Oswego, Illinois to work for Koch Farms Quarter Horses. This was his true passion. He always loved animals. He even raised dogs and chickens at one point in his life. Preceding him in death was his nephew: Jerad Wagaman. Survivors include his spouse: Timothy Busse of Yorkville, IL; parents: Robert and Anna Lee of Red Oak, IA; brother: Larry Lee of Boone, IA; sisters: Marcia Benda and husband Mark of Red Oak, IA and Patty Wagaman and husband Jim of Red Oak, IA; special friend: Lea Ann Koch of Oswego, IL; nieces and nephews: Meredith Baker and husband Don of Essex, IA; Shannon Lee of Boone, IA; Josh Lee and wife JoAnn of Ames, IA; Kaleb Wagaman and wife Katie of Stanton, IA; Kalli Wagaman of Red Oak, IA; and Kolton Wagaman and special friend Jennie Olson of Mason City, IA; and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 1-3 PM Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church or the Breeders Halter Futurity. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
