Birthplace: Greenfield, MA Resided In: Red Oak, IA Robert K. Crocker, age 54, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Robert K. "Bob" Crocker was born July 9, 1957 in Greenfield, Massachusetts. He is the son of Philip and Lois (Hall) Crocker. Bob was raised in Massachusetts where he graduated high school. He then attended college in Florida. Bob moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 1979 where he worked for ROMECH and Interwest an electronics engineer. Most recently Bob worked for Specialty Tool and Machine in Omaha. Bob was united in marriage to Sandy Santhong on September 18, 2005 in Red Oak, Iowa. They were very active in the Red Oak Elks Lodge #1304 where Bob was a chair officer for many years, served on the Trustee's Board and was a Past Exalted Ruler (1998-1999). He was also presented with "Elk of the Year" in 2003. Bob loved to cook, camp, water ski, snow ski, fish, hunt, golf, watch NASCAR, and spend time with family and friends especially granddaughter, Meka. Bob was preceded in death by his father: Philip Crocker and step-father: Robert Nims. Survivors include his wife: Sandy Crocker of Red Oak, Iowa; mother: Lois Nims of Red Oak, Iowa; brothers: Paul Crocker and wife Sherry of Massachusetts and Gary Nims of Florida; nephew: Paul Edward Crocker of Massachusetts; niece: Brittany Nims of Florida; step-children: Nathan Wahlert, Josh Wahlert and wife Lydia, and Nichcole Jensen and husband Daniel all of Exira, Iowa; grandchildren: Nevaeh and Meka Jensen of Exira, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elizabeth Dilley officiating. Viewing and visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Elks Lodge Bob Crocker Scholarship Fund. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
