Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Rural Griswold, Iowa Rick L. Scott, age 49, of Griswold, Iowa passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Rick Lynn Scott was born April 30, 1961 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Nathan and Shirley (Kennedy) Scott. He was raised in the Elliott and Griswold area graduating from Griswold High School in 1979. Over the years Rick worked for D & L Company, Larson Plumbing and Heating and most recently farming for area farmers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his step-mother: Geneva Scott of Elliott, Iowa; sisters: Deb Kennon and husband Kevin of Stanton, Iowa and Sheri Streeter and companion Dave Brown of Onawa, Iowa; nephews and nieces: Josh Krause and wife Kate of Walnut, Iowa; Brandon Krause of Stanton, Iowa; Cody Sorensen and fiancé Meagan of Redfield, Iowa; and Kyndra Sorensen of Cedar Falls, Iowa; great nephew: Tevin Krause; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Lowman Cemetery in Cass County, Iowa. There will be open visitation at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
