Richard James Linfor, age 58, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, in Shenandoah, Iowa. Richard was born March 23, 1968, in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of John and Vickie (Mutchler) Linfor. Richard lived all of his life in southwest Iowa. Richard was united in marriage to Cathy Bush and they made their home in Red Oak. Over the years, Richard worked for Dons Johns, Bruce Supplies and Construction, Minsa, and McDonalds. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, and poker.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sisters: Carrie Linfor and Mary Linfor. Survivors include his wife: Cathy Bush-Linfor of Red Oak, IA; daughter: Nina Campos of Glenwood, IA; grandkids: Brayden Tranmer and Maycee Tranmer; sisters: Melissa Hummel and husband Allan of Red Oak, IA and Sarah West of Red Oak, IA; brother: Willie Linfor of Omaha, NE; step-sister: Terri Kennedy of Hamburg, IA; nephews and nieces: Nathan West, Austin West, Dustin Whitehill, Jessica Whitehill, Ethan Hummel and his special friend Taylor, Sadie Hummel, Angel Hummel, and Destiny Hummel; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 3-5 PM Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel.
