Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Rene Lyden, age 60, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa. Melody "Rene" Lyden was born April 14, 1956 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Ronald and Ora C. "Ginger" Glasgo. She graduated from Red Oak Community High School in 1974 and attended Iowa Western Community College where she received her medical assistant certificate. Rene was united in marriage to Michael Cave and one child was born to this union, Michael. She later married Kent Lyden and one child was born to this union: Emily. Rene lived all of her life in Red Oak, Iowa where she worked at Rainbow Cafe, Uniroyal, Family Physicians Clinic, Iris' Payday Loans, Fountain Perk, and HyVee. She loved sewing, cooking, reading, watching old movies, and spending time with her family especially her granddaughter, Brinley. Rene was preceded in death by her mother, Ginger Kling on January 2, 2016. Survivors include her children: Mike Cave of Red Oak, IA and Emily Dillon and husband Cory of Bennington, NE; granddaughter: Brinley Dillon of Bennington, NE; sisters: Vickie Kammerer and husband Randy of Council Bluffs, IA and Julie Goettsche of Red Oak, IA; step-dad: Steve Kling of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. There will be no services at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
