Phyllis Ann Reynolds, age 83, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, at Arlington Place Assisted Living. Phyllis was born September 4, 1943, in Creston, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbur and Laura “Lorraine” (White) Wendt. She was raised near Coburg, Iowa, where she attended school until her senior year. The family moved to Elliott, Iowa, where she finished her schooling and graduated in 1961. She was an exceptional athlete and finished her senior year of basketball at Coburg before moving with the family. Phyllis was a homemaker in Elliott for many years raising her family before going to work at Parker Hannifin where she retired. She was a member of the Bridge Club and TOPS for many years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. Most recently, Phyllis lived at Arlington Place where she enjoyed playing Dominoes, Bingo, Cribbage, Farkle and Cards. She loved her grand dogs, sweets, and was known for making wonderful homemade Chex Mix.

Preceding her in death were her parents; infant children: Barbara, Judy, and Jane; brothers: Marvin Wendt and Fred Wendt; and sister-in-law: Cindy Wendt. Survivors include her children: David Reynolds and special friend Angie Magers of Elliott, IA, Amy Bechen and husband Steve of Moville, IA, Robert "Bobby" Reynolds and wife Nancy of Atlantic, IA, and Julie Vrba and husband Brian of Red Oak, IA; his grandchildren: Jordan, Blaire, Cheryl, Dylan, Baylee, KayLynne, Garrett, Alexes, Jordan, Haley, Grant, and Ashton; his great grandchildren: Zane, Owen, Addy, Ella, Kase, Avery, Brantley, Thea, Dani, Weston, Easton, Ledger, Lincoln, and Lainey; sister: Bev Cleland and husband Steve of Red Oak, IA; brother: Larry Wendt and wife Cindy of Elliott, IA; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 30, 2026, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Waveland Township Cemetery near Elliott, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel.
