Phyllis Lillian Harold, age 91, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Arlington Place. Phyllis was born August 23, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Arthur Eggert and Lillian Mae (Hoerath) Lage. She was raised in Elliott, Iowa, and graduated from Elliott High School in 1953. Phyllis lived in Omaha for a brief time before moving back to Elliott. She had a long career with Thos D. Murphy Co. in Red Oak, retiring after 35 years of service. Phyllis was united in marriage to Stanley Harold on December 22, 1972, in Elk Point, South Dakota. They lived all their married life in Red Oak, Iowa. Phyllis was a member of the 15–20-year club at Murphy’s and delivered “Meals on Wheels” for many years. She and Stan also enjoyed spending time with their friends at the Red Oak Elks Lodge. Phyllis was very artistic and enjoyed painting, ceramics, baking, and helping Stan with his woodworking projects. She was a master gardener who manicured her yard and flower beds with pride. Phyllis also loved watching cardinals.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband: Stanley Harold on April 15, 2018. Survivors include her daughter: Tammie Stoneking and husband Roger of Grant, Iowa; cousin: Jackie Babbitt and husband Bob of Omaha, Nebraska; brother-in-law: Leland Harold and wife Pat of Clackamas, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at LeRette Funeral Chapel before going to the cemetery in procession. Memorials are suggested to the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Court of Honor.
