Birthplace: Norwalk, Ohio Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Paul Lee Blystone, age 62, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul was born July 18, 1959, in Norwalk, Ohio, the son of Charles Blystone, Sr. and Barbara Marietta Blystone. He grew up in Ohio where he attended school. He worked for Norwalk Public Schools and was in the Ohio National Guard before moving to Colorado. He was united in marriage to Tracy Corbin on December 28, 1982 in Red Oak, Iowa. One daughter was born to this union: Christina. While in Colorado, Paul worked for Yost Construction and later owned and operated Blystone Construction until 1994. Paul was united in marriage to Kim Fehringer on June 11, 1994 in Sterling, Colorado. Three children were born to this union: Curtis, Cody, and Cassy. The family moved to Ohio for a short time before moving to Red Oak, Iowa, where Paul worked for Ameristar Casino, Traco, and RoMech. He then went back to school earning a Business Management Degree from Iowa Western Community College and started working for SIRE where he retired. Paul's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an avid Denver Broncos fan. Preceding him in death were his parents and granddaughter, Zaylee. Survivors include his children: Christina Baucom and husband Paul of Red Oak, IA; Curtis Blystone and fiancée Jenn Latham of Red Oak, IA; Cody Blystone of Council Bluffs, IA; and Cassy Blystone and fiancé Daniel Blank of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Derek, Natalie, and Elizabeth Baucom; Owen Blystone; Madi and Lilly Moyer; Arete Blystone; Marki Bradberry; Nova Kier; Elle and Carly Blank; Addalynn Phelps; Paisley Phelps; Finley Stranathan Phelps; and Karlynd Prichard; brothers: Charles Blystone, Jr. of Norwalk, OH; John Blystone and wife Joni of Norwalk, OH; and Todd Blystone of Eau Claire, WI; sisters: Cathy Wright of Norwalk, OH and Vicky Blystone of Norwalk, OH; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Faith Community Church. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
