Birthplace: Fremont County, Iowa Resided In: Lincoln, Missouri formerly Red Oak Patsy Ann Hanson, age 79, of Lincoln, Missouri formerly Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Boswell Regional Medical Center in Sedalia, Missouri. Patsy Ann Hanson was born January 27, 1930 in Fremont County, Iowa the daughter of John and Frances (Lyons) Hall. Patsy was united in marriage to Nels Hanson on April 3, 1947 in Hiawatha, Kansas. Patsy was a homemaker and Nurses Aid while Nels worked for the Red Oak School District for 19 years retiring in 1987. Patsy enjoyed raising her family and loved doing all kinds of crafts. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Nels Hanson on August 16, 1999. Survivors include her children: Francis J. Hanson and wife Ruby of Shambaugh, Iowa; Stevon Hanson of Red Oak, Iowa; Sharon Smith and husband Dick of Skidmore, Missouri; Sara Eickemeyer and husband Curtis of Skidmore, Missouri; and Bonnie Reid and husband Roger of Lincoln, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Salem Cemetery in Montgomery County, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel starting at 1 PM on Tuesday before proceeding to the cemetery at 1:45 PM. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
