Obituary

Birthplace: Shenandoah, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Pamela G. Helm, age 62, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Pamela Glee Helm was born December 7, 1945 in Shenandoah, Iowa the daughter of Russell and Beulah (DeSart) Stubbs. She was raised in Shenandoah and graduated from the Shenandoah High School. She lived in Missouri until moving back to Red Oak in the early 1970's. She was united in marriage to John W. Jones in Red Oak, Iowa. Pam was a waitress at the Rainbow Café for many years. Pam enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, and spending time with her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband: John W. Jones, her sister: Joyce Laughlin; two sons: Jacob and Joe; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Junior and Fern Jones. Survivors include her daughters: Cindy Walker and husband Steve of Red Oak, Iowa and Angela Jones of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren: Carly Walker, Macy Jo Walker, Keegan Jones, and Tara Jones all of Red Oak, Iowa; sisters: Barbara Bloomfield of Blair, Nebraska; Judy Herrick of Tarkio, Missouri; Marilyn Lewis and husband Jim of Omaha, Nebraska; and Cheryl Stubbs of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Pastor Trevor Skalberg officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be at the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
