Birthplace: Ft. Dodge, Iowa Resided In: Stanton, IA formerly Red Oak Olive Marie Johnson, age 87, of Stanton, Iowa formerly Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Stanton Care Center. Olive was born February 8, 1929 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa the daughter of John and Frieda (Dauffenbach) Wille. She graduated from Ft. Dodge High School and attended Drake University. She moved to California for a short time and then back to Ft. Dodge. Eventually, Olive moved to Newton, Iowa where she met her future husband Richard Johnson. They married on May 28, 1964 in Newton. They moved to Red Oak in 1974 and managed the Montgomery County Care Facility until it closed in 1984. She later worked for Nishna Valley Monument Company, Faunces, and K Mart. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Richard Johnson on July 4, 2008; brothers: Nielen, Robert, and Junior Wille; and grandson: Quinton Etter. Survivors include her children: Renee Ballard and husband Les of Coburg, IA; Lee Ann Johnson of Cochran, GA; Walter Cripps and wife Patricia of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; and Morgan Johnson and wife Kia of El Paso, TX; grandchildren: Chad Etter (Jen Appley) of Hancock, IA; Jeff Etter of Red Oak, IA; Sara Vandurro of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Megan Walker and husband George of Santa Marina, CA; and Anna Dunn and husband Sean of Ontario, CA; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
