Nickie Lynn Carlson, age 65, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 8, 2025. Nickie was born August 29, 1960, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Garry and Deloris (Peterson) Taylor. She was raised near Grant, Iowa, and graduated from Villisca High School. Nickie lived all her life in Southwest Iowa. She worked for Casey's General Store in Oakland and Griswold for many years and the last 10 years made her home in Red Oak.

Preceding her in death were her father and her brother, Matthew Taylor. Survivors include her mother: Deloris Adams of Griswold, IA; sister: Deb Foote and husband Doug of Red Oak, IA; nephews and nieces: Ryan Pelzer and wife Jamie of Malvern, IA; Jared Pelzer and wife Jess of Griswold, IA; Hayden Pelzer and wife April of Griswold, IA; Cade Pelzer and wife Riley of Red Oak, IA; Jodie Hogue and husband Devin of Atlantic, IA; Nate Elwood and wife Kristi of Stanton, IA; and Macy Strickland and husband Austin of Clarinda, IA; many great nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

No services will be held at this time.
