Neil Edward Barnhart, age 72, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Neil was born September 21, 1953, in Farragut, Iowa, the son of Clifford Floyd and Pauline L. (Gardner) Barnhart.

Neil was a mechanic for many years and most recently worked for Travis Iron and Metal in Corning, Iowa.

Survivors are his many siblings including his sister: Elaine Bolinger of Lenox, Iowa; his life partner: Sharon Black of Red Oak, Iowa; and her children: Adam Meek of Clarinda, Iowa and Holly Jorgensen of Clarinda, Iowa; and his special companion: Daisy.

There will be no services at this time.
