Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Corning, Iowa Naomi Neuschwanger, age 82, of Corning, Iowa formerly of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa. Naomi Fern Neuschwanger was born January 31, 1921 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Wambold) Neuschwanger. She lived all of her life in Southwest, Iowa. Naomi was a resident of the Montgomery County Home for many years until the home closed and she moved to Country Haven Home in Corning, Iowa 20 years ago. Naomi was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Pearl Spencer; Myrtle Lyon; Ruby VanderHart; and Velta Anderson; and 5 brothers: Earl Neuschwanger; Marvin Neuschwanger; Harry Neuschwanger; and infants: John and James Neuschwanger. Survivors include her sister-in-law: Kay Neuschwanger of Red Oak, Iowa; brother-in-law: Elmer C. Anderson of Red Oak, Iowa; 8 nieces and nephews: William Minnick of California; Bill Spencer of New Mexico; Eldon Lyon of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Jon Neuschwanger of Des Moines, Iowa; Betty Benskin of Red Oak, Iowa; Nancy Hacker of Arizona; Bertha Brooks of Florida; and Richard VanderHart of Wisconsin; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Family and friends will meet at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel at 9:15 AM to go to the cemetery in procession. There will be open visitation at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Presbyterian Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
