Birthplace: Nodaway, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Naomi Ruth Jones, age 84, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Naomi was born May 16, 1936 in Nodaway, Iowa, the daughter of John and Florence (Campbell) Clayton. She graduated from Nodaway High School and started working for the Farmer's Mercantile in Red Oak, Iowa, where she met Clyde Jones. They were united in marriage on January 5, 1955 in Red Oak. They lived all of their married life in Red Oak, Iowa. Naomi was a member of Stratton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening, boating, water skiing, and watching TV. She was a very accomplished seamstress and was an excellent cook. Preceding her in death were her parents; son: Doug Jones on August 18, 2014; and husband: Clyde Jones on June 3, 2020. Survivors include her daughter: Mary Sellers and husband Terry of Red Oak; grandchildren: Dustin Sellers and wife Amber of Stanton, IA; Clint Sellers and wife Brooke of Raleigh, NC; Michael Jones of Red Oak; and Bonnie Jones of Red Oak; great granddaughter: Tessa Rae Jones of Red Oak; great grandson: Jackson Cade Sellers of Raleigh, NC; sister: Donna Davidson and husband Bob of Waverly, IA; brother-in-law: Gene Westerlund of Villisca, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
