Birthplace: Rural Elliott, Iowa Resided In: Elliott, Iowa Mildred Milner, age 93, of Elliott, Iowa passed away Saturday, January 26, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Red Oak after an extended illness. Mildred Marie Milner was born June 10, 1908 in Pottawattamie County near Elliott, Iowa the daughter of William and Laura (Roberts) Rush. She graduated from the Elliott High School and was later united in marriage to Russell Milner on October 10, 1929 in Auburn, Iowa They lived all of their lives in Elliott, Iowa. Mildred was a member of the Elliott Church of Christ where she was very active for many years. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the O.N.O. Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Russell Milner on December 11, 1993; 2 sons: Don Milner and Larry Milner; sister: Ada; 4 brothers: Vernon, Oren, Russell, and Myron; and granddaughter: Barbara Jean Milner. Survivors include her 2 sons: Dick Milner and his wife Karen of Elliott, Iowa; and Gordon Milner of Elliott, Iowa; 2 daughters: Dorothy Nelson and her husband Russell of Elliott, Iowa; and Mary Ann Reynolds and her husband Lyle of Omaha, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 daughters-in-law: Janet Weston of Elliott, Iowa; and Darla Parsons of West Bend, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the Elliott Church of Christ in Elliott, Iowa with burial to be in the Hillside Cemetery. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7 PM Monday, January 28, 2002 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with visitation with the family to follow. Memorials are suggested to the Elliott Church of Christ. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
