Birthplace: Illinois Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Mike Patrick, age 57, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Mike was born July 5, 1956 in Illinois the son of Anthony and Ann (Renning) Patrick. He lived in many different places growing up in a military family. He graduated from Rancho Cotate High School in California in 1974. He entered the United States Army serving for twenty years, retiring in 1994. He moved to Red Oak, Iowa where he worked for D&L, ROMECH, Traco, a road construction crew, Red Oak Die Cast and several odd jobs before becoming a stay at home Dad. He was united in marriage to Wanda Larson Hathaway on February 7, 2000 in Red Oak. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Wanda of Red Oak; sons: Robert Patrick and wife Tammy of East Fredericksburg, VA and Michael Patrick of Red Oak; one grandchild; brothers: Steve Patrick and wife Sue of Rohnert Park, CA and Dale Patrick and wife Teri of W. Des Moines, IA; step-mother: Donna Patrick of Red Oak; mother-in-law: Jean Larson of Red Oak; sisters-in-law: Debbie Reynolds and husband Jim of Red Oak; Carrie Larson of Ft. Dodge, IA; and Brenda Williams and husband Tim of Creston, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Visitation and viewing with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
