Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Walnut, Iowa formerly Red Oak Michelle Briggs, age 33, of Walnut, Iowa formerly of Avoca and Red Oak passed away Friday, June 17, 2005 at her home in Walnut, Iowa. Michelle Dawn Briggs was born December 5, 1971 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Harlan and Mildred (Brown) Briggs. Over the years Michelle attended school at Nishna Valley, Red Oak, and Stanton. Michelle had three significant relationships in her life with Robin Clayton, Dan Rihner, and Quentin Sickels her life partner and father of her children. She was currently working at the Kum-N-Go in Atlantic, Iowa. Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents: William Brown & Clarence and Cleo Berg; her mother: Mildred Brown; nephew: Dylan Briggs; and great niece: Madison Bozwell. Survivors include her children: Nicholas Briggs and Destiney, Mason, and Haley Sickels all of Villisca, Iowa; father: Harlan Briggs of Council Bluffs, Iowa; grandmother: Pheba Brown of Hastings, Iowa; brothers and sisters: Kim Warren and friend Jane Voboril of Lincoln, Nebraska; Teri Briggs and friend Mark Walters of Lincoln, Nebraska; Raymond Briggs and wife Ange of Red Oak, Iowa; Shelley Hurley of Missouri; and William Briggs and wife Wendy of Red Oak, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Cremation will take place following the services. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
