Michael Allen Eugene King, age 76, of Jay, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home after an extended illness. Michael was born August 14, 1949, the son of Eugene and Rene (Walker) King. He grew up and spent his childhood in Emerson, Iowa. Michael attended Emerson Community School. He played baseball and was a wrestler. He graduated from Nishna Valley High School in 1968. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years. He then returned home, married and had two children: Shawn and Dawn. In July 1985 he married Cindy Haner and welcomed her daughter Christina and later had another daughter, Brandy. Michael and his family moved to Oklahoma where he worked for Tyson Foods.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Eugene and Rene King; daughters: Christina and Brandy; and brother-in-law: Rob Shearer, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy King of Jay, Oklahoma; children: Shawn and Dawn; sisters: Vicki Kudron

and husband Phil and Michelle King all of Emerson, Iowa; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
