Matthew Claude Miller was born March 29, 1990 in Hamburg, Iowa, the son of Joseph Wesley Miller and Claudette Faye Harris Abraham. He entered into rest on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 33 years and 4 months.

Matthew attended school in Essex, Iowa and graduated from Essex High School in 2008. He worked several jobs including carpentry with his grandfather and concrete work with his close friend Marshall Adams. He also powder coated and most recently worked in HVAC. Matthew was a dare devil, he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed any adventure including skate boarding, motorcycle riding or rock climbing. He was also the leader of the Maddie Club.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Miller; his grandparents, Glen and Lillian Miller; great grandparents, Emma and Claude Harris; aunts, Sarah Donaldson and Esther Miller Philpott; uncle, Glen "Bill" Miller; and a cousin, Michael Whitehill.

Survivor include his mother, Claudette Abraham and her husband Robert of Red Oak, Iowa; grandparents, Claude and Blythe "Susie" Harris of Essex, Iowa, Blythe Binau of Shenandoah, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Steve Harris and Sandy Crowdes of Shenandoah, Iowa, Joe Harris of Essex, Iowa, Mike Donaldson of Osceola, Iowa; cousins, Emma Jo Harris and Garrett Harris of Essex, Iowa, Ritchie Donaldson and Katie Donaldson of Osceola, Iowa; special brothers and sisters, Marshall and Melinda Adams of Red Oak, Iowa, Chris Still of Independence, Missouri, Cam Crismon of Omaha, Nebraska, Corey Peterson of Red Oak, Iowa, Arron LeRette of Red Oak, Iowa, Paul and Daize Pontow of Red Oak, Iowa, Jake Avery of Red Oak, Iowa, Travis Treat of Red Oak, Iowa, Justin Housh of Red Oak, Iowa, Birdie Flanagan of Red Oak, Iowa, Casey Winstead of Colorado, and Charley Falicki of Colorado; Tara Jones of Red Oak, Iowa; Megan Sands of Red Oak, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family present will take place on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Nelson-Bolan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. There will be no formal services held and a private family inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. The Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak is in charge of arrangements.
