Birthplace: Elliott, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Mary Ann Walker, age 76, of Red Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Mary Ann Lewis Walker was born January 20, 1934 in Elliott, Iowa the daughter of James and Vertie (Wright) Lewis. She graduated from Elliott High School in 1951 and Married Kenneth L Walker in 1954. She worked for a few years at Thomas D. Murphy Company and for a short time at Wilson Concrete. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: George, Victor, Bryan, and Leroy Lewis; sisters: Dorothy McGinnis, Estella Jeys, June Lakin, and Ila Bridges. Survivors include her husband: Kenneth L. Walker of Red Oak, Iowa; children: Sheryl Petroff and husband Len of Bay City, Michigan; Julie Davison and husband Dave of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Wendy Walker of Urbandale, Iowa; step-sons: Ken Walker and Larry Walker both of Florida; grandchildren: Nick, Steven, and Larissa Petroff, Joshua Davison, and Henry Rains; step-grandchildren: Eric Walker and wife Susie and Chris Walker and wife Rebecca all of Florida; step-great granddaughter: Isabella; brother: Gene Lewis and wife Gerry of Springdale, Arkansas, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. There will be a private family graveside service on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Hillside Cemetery in Elliott, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
