Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Mary Jo Bourn, age 71, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Mary Jo Bourn was born September 11, 1940 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Guy and Leah (Urich) Fall. She was raised in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School. Mary Jo was united in marriage to James Everett Bourn on September 19, 1958 in Red Oak, Iowa. They lived all of their married life in the Red Oak area. Mary Jo was a homemaker and also had worked for Uniroyal and Glenwood State School at different times in her life. She enjoyed shopping and loved flowers. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband: James Everett Bourn on May 23, 2001; and her sister-in-law: Helen Bourn. Survivors include her children: James LeRoy Bourn and wife Melody of Red Oak, IA; Jane Bourn of Red Oak, IA; and Jean Hicks and husband Avery of Norman, OK; grandchildren: James Wayne Bourn, Gillian Bourn and Alex Roby of Red Oak, IA; Tiffany Hicks and Derick Hicks of Norman, OK; and Holly Kelly and Nick Jandreau of Red Oak, IA; great grandchildren: James Dean Kelly, Jackson Michael Kelly, and Hannah Grace Kelly of Red Oak, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Caryn Pedersen officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will take place at Salem Cemetery in rural Montgomery County, Iowa. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Salem Cemetery. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
