Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska Resided In: Lakeville, Minnesota Mark A. Halvin, age 43, of Lakeville, Minnesota passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at his home. Mark Allen Halvin was born September 15, 1964 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Gary and Barbara (Mirts) Halvin. He was raised in Omaha graduating from Burke High School in 1982. He attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and began a career as a computer programmer. He lived in several different places before moving to the Minneapolis area ten years ago. Mark was united in marriage to his beloved wife Natalia on August 11, 2001 in Minneapolis. Survivors include his wife Natalia Halvin of Lakeville, Minnesota; mother: Barbara Vance and husband Bill of Corinth, Texas; father: Gary Halvin and wife Debbie of Ralston, Nebraska; brother: Jeffrey Halvin of Ralston, Nebraska; sister: Julie Brase and husband Kevin of Corinth, Texas; nephew and nieces: Andrew, Lauren, and Sarah Brase; grandmothers: Madge Blengino of Lincoln, Nebraska and Effa Halvin of Red Oak, Iowa; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Kenneth and LaDonne Pelarski of Minneapolis, Minnesota; brother-in-law: Scott Pelarski of Minneapolis, Minnesota; uncles and aunts: Ken and Sherry Mirts of Red Oak, Iowa; Beverly Baker of Lincoln, Nebraska; Shirley and Steve Headlee of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Stan Halvin of Tucson, Arizona; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family of Mark Halvin. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel, Red Oak, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
